Description
The Coach House at The Grey House is a mid-19th century building located on the east side of Old Great North Road in Carlton-on-Trent. It is constructed of grey brick and features a gabled and hipped slate roof. The coach house has chamfered corners and stands two storeys tall with three bays.
The main south front displays a projecting gabled central bay that contains a pair of segmental-headed doors. To the left, there is a plank door, and to the right, a double door, both also with segmental heads. Above the central doors, there is a round-headed casement, along with a small square hatch to the right. The west end of the building features a pair of casements with rubbed brick heads, and above them, there is a smaller pair of similar casements. The east end also has a similar pair of casements above. This building is included in the listing for its group value only.
