Description
Ferry Cottage is a 19th-century model cottage for a ferryman, constructed from yellow brick and featuring a gabled plain tile roof with decorative diaper patterns. The building has a chamfered plinth, pierced bargeboards, and a grouped central stack. It is designed in a cross plan, consisting of three bays and is a single storey with garrets. The south front includes a central window with a hood mould, flanked on the left by another window and on the right by a plank door. The west front has a central plank door with a segmental head, above which is a window with a rubbed brick head. On the north front, there is a window to the right, with another window above it, also featuring a rubbed brick head. The east front has a central window with a hood mould, flanked by single windows that have rubbed brick heads.
