Description
Field House is a farm manager's house built in 1902, designed by the Nottingham City Engineer, Arthur Brown, for the Bulcote Corporation Model Farm. It is constructed of red brick, featuring a blue brick plinth and yellow brick bands, topped with a slate roof that has a single gable stack. The main front of the house has three bays, with a central doorway that includes an overlight and is flanked by single 20th-century casement windows. Above, there is a narrow 20th-century casement window flanked by single sash windows with margin lights. This farmhouse is a significant part of the industrial farmyard, which was specifically built by Nottingham City Corporation to help manage the solid waste produced by their new sewage works at Stoke Bardolph.
