Description
This sarcophagus, located 150 meters east of the Church of St. John, dates from 1812 and is made of ashlar stone. It features a brick supporting wall with sloped coping and a chamfered plinth that includes a verse inscription. The rectangular base has a partly erased inscription dedicated to Charles Alphonso Pierrepont and is topped with a moulded cornice. The sarcophagus itself has a hipped lid and ball feet.
