Description
The building known as the pigeoncote, granary, and stable block at Manor Farm dates from the late 18th century. It is constructed of red brick and features a pantile roof. The gables are raised and have brick coping with kneelers, while the eaves display a dogtooth pattern. The structure is two storeys high, plus a garret, and has a two-bay west front. There are two doorways with plank doors; the right gable includes a doorway with a panelled door and a glazing bar overlight. Above this doorway, there are remnants of seven brick flight perches on the first floor and garret. The left gable has a single blocked opening, and to the left, there is a flight of brick and stone steps that is now partially demolished. On the first floor, there is a doorway with a plank and part-glazed door. The rear of the building has a doorway now fitted with a 20th-century fixed light, and above this are blocked openings, two on each floor. The first floor also shows evidence of blocked pigeon entrances. Inside, the first floor contains both brick and mud nesting boxes, along with a mud and stud partition.
