Description
The gateway and railings at Brackenhurst Hall were built around 1900 for W N Hicking. They are constructed from ashlar stone and feature wrought iron railings and a gate, designed in a late 17th century style. The entrance includes a pair of panelled square gatepiers with plinths and cornices, which are topped with pineapple finials. The gates are ornamented and there is an overthrow above them. On either side of the gateway, there are incurved dwarf walls with railings, which end with panelled square piers that do not have finials.
