Description
Brackenhurst Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the mid-18th century, with some early 19th-century alterations. It is constructed of brick and features a pantile roof. The building has a plinth, bands at the first and second floors, cogged and dentilled eaves, and coped gables with three gable stacks. The farmhouse has a double range plan and stands two storeys high, with a three-window range of glazing bar sash windows, the central one being smaller. Below these windows, there is a central 20th-century door with an overlight, flanked by single sash windows, all of which have segmental heads. The rear of the farmhouse includes two 20th-century casement windows and a central 20th-century door, which is flanked by single glazing bar sashes, with the left one being a dummy. To the right of the main building, there is a single-storey wash house featuring cogged eaves and a single gable stack, with a close boarded door and a single 20th-century casement window.
