Description

This is a house dating from the 17th century, with additions from the 18th and 19th centuries. It is constructed of coursed and squared rubble and brick, with a hipped pantile roof, brick eaves, and stone sills. The west front has two storeys and one bay, featuring single 18th-century sash windows with segmental heads on both the ground and first floors. The south side mirrors this arrangement. A rear range from the 17th century, with one-and-a-half storeys and a single coped gable, contains a partly glazed 18th-century door to the west, flanked to the east by a 20th-century brick and timber bay window. Above the door is a dormer containing a three-light Yorkshire sash window. A projecting wing from the 19th century extends to the east, with one storey and one bay, including a single fixed light and a 19th-century glazing bar sash window. The south gable has a 19th-century half-glazed door and a 19th-century shop window. Group value is present due to its contribution to the streetscape.
