Description
No. 7 Dykes End is an early 19th-century cottage built of brick, featuring a canted hipped roof made of Welsh slate and dentillated eaves. The building is single storey with an attic and consists of three bays. The canted south front includes a pointed arched opening to the west, which has a hood mould and contains a 19th-century close boarded door. To the east of this opening are two double Y-tracery lancets, each with brick hood moulds. The front also has a canted timber verandah supported by four plain posts, which features a 19th-century dormer with a single glazing bar casement. The east front showcases a 19th-century rustic porch with a close boarded door, and to the south, there is a leaded double lancet. On the west front, there is a 20th-century casement to the north and a single leaded double lancet to the south.
