Description
These are two cottages, now converted into three dwellings, dating from the late 18th century. They have been altered and extended at the rear around 1988. The cottages are constructed of brick and feature a hipped pantile roof with dentillated eaves. There are single ridge, side wall, and rear wall stacks. The front has openings with segmental heads, and the cottages are three storeys high with a three-window range of glazing bar casements in segment-headed openings, with the rightmost window being smaller. To the right of this window, there is a blocked opening. Above, there is similar fenestration. Below, there are two glazing bar casements, with a single door to the left and two doors to the right, followed by a larger casement. The rear of the building has two and three-storey lean-to additions from the 19th and late 20th centuries. This building is part of a mill complex that was originally built for cotton and silk spinning.
