Description
No. 3 Stockwell Gate is a house that has been converted into a shop. It was built around 1800 and has undergone alterations in the mid-19th century and late 20th century. The building is constructed of coursed squared stone, which is painted, and features stone dressings and a slate roof. There is a Norwich Union fire insurance plaque on the first floor. The structure has three storeys and a three-window range of plain sash windows. Above this, there is a central blind window flanked by single plain sashes. All the windows have projecting surrounds, with the second-floor windows being smaller in size. On the ground floor, there is a late 20th-century shop front to the left with a tiled surround, and to the right, there is a plain carriage entrance, both under a common wooden fascia.
