Description

The war memorial and railings, located 1 metre south of the Church of St Mark on Nottingham Road in Mansfield, date from around 1920. The memorial is made of Portland stone and features a gabled crucifix set on a square pedestal that is inscribed and has a moulded plinth and cornice. It stands on a circular base consisting of two steps. The surrounding railings are made of cast iron, with short posts topped by crocketed finials, and are connected by a spiked chain.
