Description
This gas lamp, located 5 meters east of the West Lodge at Bestwood Pumping Station, was constructed in 1871. It is made of cast iron and features a broached square base, a tapered octagonal stem, foliate ornamentation, a glass globe, and a porcelain finial. This lamp is part of a pumping station that was one of three built in the late 19th century to serve Nottingham City. It is included in the listing for its group value context.
