Description

Hall Farmhouse and the adjoining pigeoncote were built around 1875 and were raised and altered around 1950. The farmhouse is constructed of brick and features plain tile and slate roofs. It has moulded and cogged string courses, projecting quoins, cogged and chamfered eaves, and ashlar dressings. The building is two storeys high with four unequal bays and has single ridge and external side wall stacks with octagonal stalks.

On the west front, there are three casement windows to the left, followed by a larger mullioned casement. To the right, there is a two-storey tower porch with a shaped gable and three round-headed openings. Above this porch, there are two casements and a cross eaves gabled dormer. The porch itself features a plaque with a shield and has a single casement window on each side. The south gable includes a canted bay window with a casement above it. The east side has two casements, and to the right, there is a mid-20th century single-storey addition with two casements. In the return angle, there is a door flanked by single casements, with a casement and single gabled cross eaves dormers above to the left, and two casements to the right.

Adjoining the farmhouse to the north is a single-storey hipped outbuilding with two bays and a ridge stack, which has two doorways to the east. The square pigeoncote is two stages high and features a keystoned round window on the north and west sides, with similar windows on each side above. It has a pyramidal roof topped with a wind vane, which was renewed around 1960.
