Description
This is a row of four cottages located on Bakers Row, dating from the early 19th century. The cottages are constructed from dressed coursed rubble with a rendered front. The left gable has been raised using red brick. The roof is slate and features two gable stacks and three ridge stacks made of red brick.
The building has three storeys and consists of nine bays. From right to left, the facade includes a single glazing bar sash window, a doorway with a wooden door and a glazing bar overlight, followed by a single left glazing bar marginal casement, another single glazing bar sash, a doorway with a part-glazed door, another single glazing bar sash, a doorway with a part-glazed door, and finally three glazing bar sashes.
Above these, there are seven glazing bar sashes, with the third from the right being narrower, and above that are six smaller glazing bar sashes. The building features three tie plates. To the right of the first doorway, there is a ridge which may indicate the location of a removed stack. At the rear of the left cottage, No. 4, there is a rendered lean-to extension.
