Description
The barn located to the northeast of Church Farmhouse is a former threshing barn dating from around 1700. It is constructed with a timber frame and red brick, topped with a corrugated asbestos roof. The south front features a central threshing opening that is filled with planks and has double plank doors. To the right, there are two slit breathers, and to the left, there are two slit breathers along with two diamond breathers positioned above them. The east front, which faces the street, has a pair of plank doors on the left side. The rear, or north front, reveals exposed timber posts with arched braces that have been rendered, along with a central doorway that has been blocked, as well as blocked breathers. Inside, the barn contains two arched braced timber frame trusses and a continuous wall plate. The roof was replaced in the 20th century.
