Description

The building at 6, 6A, 8, and 10 Bridgegate dates back to the 18th century. It is a three-storey brick building with a Welsh slate roof. The top floor has six windows; four have segmental arched heads, wooden window frames, and no glazing bars. Two windows on the top floor of number 10 have flat heads. The first floor has four windows with slightly segmental heads, and one window on the left has a modern wooden surround. The ground floor features modern shop fronts and a segmental-headed carriage entry. The building is part of a group that includes the White Hart Hotel and numbers 2 to 10 (even) and 6A. It is included in the list due to its group value.
