Description

This is a range of outbuildings located 5 meters east of Endon House, dating from the late 17th century and 19th century. The buildings are constructed of red brick and covered with pantiles. The 17th-century section is a one and a half storey, five-bay former smithy featuring a raised eaves band and a course of dentil. It stands on a plinth with a first-floor band. The central section has a blocked doorway with remnants of the original arched rusticated brick surround, now fitted with a plank door beneath a flat arch. To the right, there is a blocked window opening and a partially blocked doorway under a flat arch with a rusticated brick surround, now containing a stable door beneath a segmental arch. To the left, there is a small fixed light with glazing bars and a blocked doorway under a flat arch with a similar rusticated brick surround, now also with a small fixed light. Above this section, breaking into the eaves band, is a single blocked window opening. The building features three tie plates.

Attached to the left of the smithy is a one and a half storey, four-bay range from the 19th century, which has dentil eaves and various blocked and altered openings. To the right is a two-storey, four-bay stable block from the 19th century, which includes a right gable red brick stack and dentil eaves. This stable block has four doorways with wooden doors under segmental arches, and above is a single window opening with a tripartite glazing bar Yorkshire sash to the right. Additionally, there is a brick and corrugated lean-to on the right side, which features a doorway with a wooden door. The stable block also has three tie plates.
