Description
This is a row of eight mill workers' cottages located on Ten Row, built in the late 18th century. The cottages are constructed from dressed coursed rubble, featuring some flush ashlar quoins, and have a pantile roof with eight red brick ridge stacks. The building stands two and a half storeys high and consists of 16 bays. Each cottage has a wooden transom and mullion glazing bar casement window with a painted lintel, and to the right of each window is a doorway. Notably, on No. 5, there is a glazing bar fixed light situated between the casement and the doorway, with a post box underneath and a lintel above. The upper floor contains eight glazing bar casements, along with eight smaller glazing bar casements on the top floor.
