Description

This headstone, dating from 1628, is located 15 metres southeast of the south porch of the Church of St Mary Magdalene in Sutton in Ashfield. It is made of ashlar stone and features a shouldered round head. The inscription reads, "Here lyeth the body of Elizabeth Wright Widow who departed this life July ye 14th 1628."
