Description
The terrace located to the south-west of Annesley Hall is a late 17th-century structure made of brick with ashlar dressings and a balustrade. It features two stages and consists of eight bays. The lower stage includes a central double staircase with square newels and ball finials on the balustrade. Below the stairs, there is a chamfered doorway leading to a barrel-vaulted chamber, which is flanked by single unglazed windows. The balustrade of the terrace has square pedestals topped with ball finials. The upper stage is marked by a pair of off-centre brick gate piers with ashlar quoins, supporting a pair of wrought iron gates with latticed posts and an overthrow. The wall between the piers has a scalloped top, and some of the piers also feature ball finials. At the west end of the terrace, there is a ramped buttress and ashlar steps.
