Description

Swallow Cottage is a lodge to Swallow Vale farm, built around 1830. It is constructed of brown brick and features slate roofs with two tall tripartite gable stacks and a single two-part ridge stack. The building is two storeys high with a three-bay front, where the central bay projects and is topped by a gable adorned with ornamental brickwork and a large finial. The central doorway has glazed doors and a rectangular hoodmould, and it is flanked by single sliding sashes, each with rectangular hoodmoulds. Above, there are three sliding sashes set in ornate gables, each also featuring large finials.
