Description
Nos. 134 and 136 Bridge Street are a pair of late 18th-century houses featuring basements and three storeys. They are constructed of red brick and topped with a pantile roof. The buildings have cill bands, moulded eaves cornices, and a painted plinth. Each house has six windows with flush hung sashes, brick voussoirs, and no glazing bars, along with keystones above. The ground floor includes three windows and a right-hand elliptical arched carriageway that has a rusticated head with a keystone and double doors. There are two doorways designed similarly, featuring fluted Roman Doric half columns that support entablatures with reeded and paterae friezes and modillion cornices. The doors are six-panelled and set in round-headed arches, with the right-hand doorway having a traceried fanlight above and three steps leading up to it. The property also includes area railing.
