Description

The barn and pigeon-cote at Manor Farm date from the early 18th century, with some alterations made in the 19th century. The structure is built from limestone rubble, featuring ashlar quoins and brick dressings. It is a single-storey building that has a large central planked sliding door in its original opening, with a 19th-century double door to the left that has a semi-circular brick head. Between these openings, there are blocked breather holes. The right gable contains a brick pigeon-cote, which has three ledges and four flight holes on each ledge. Below the pigeon-cote is a timber louvred opening with a timber lintel. The roof consists of 11 bays with pegged construction and through double purlins. This building is listed for its group value.
