Description
Manor House is an 18th-century farmhouse with significant 19th-century additions and alterations. It is constructed of squared limestone rubble, featuring ashlar quoins and dressings, and has a hipped slate roof with two wall stacks made of moulded stone. The building is two stories high and has a three-bay front with a plinth and bracketed eaves. The central entry bay is recessed and contains a panelled door with a plain overlight, flanked by single bordered fixed lights that also have overlights and panelled bases. In front of the door, two Doric columns support semi-circular headed blank arches, with similar columns in antis on either side of the bay. To the sides, there are single canted bays with plain sash windows and pierced stone parapets. On the first floor, there are two central semi-circular headed lights with keystones and moulded imposts, set in recessed panels, with single plain sash windows to the eaves on either side. At the rear, there is a two-storey, four-bay 18th-century wing.
