Description
The Manor House is a farmhouse built in the late 18th century, with early 19th-century additions. It is constructed of brick and features a hipped slate roof with one wall stack and one ridge stack. The building has an L-shaped plan and a four-bay, two-storey front with a stone-coped parapet. The entrance is off-center and consists of a six-panelled partially glazed door topped by a traceried fanlight, all framed by a wooden doorcase with a narrow hood. On either side of the entrance are large projecting bows that extend through both storeys, each containing three glazing bar sashes on the ground and first floors. To the right of the entrance is a single glazing bar sash, with two additional similar windows on the first floor. All windows are adorned with splayed stucco lintels. Inside, there is a late 18th-century dog leg staircase with turned balusters, illuminated by a pyramidal skylight. At the rear of the main block, there is a service court that includes a reservoir underneath.
