Description
Manor House is a former house that has been incorporated into a larger office complex. It dates from the mid-18th century and features significant 19th-century additions and alterations. The building is constructed of red brick with a pantile roof and has raised and tumbled gables. The rear elevation has three storeys and four bays, with a plinth and a dentillated eaves course. The ground and first floors each have four plain sash windows, while the second floor has four similar sliding sashes. All windows are topped with flat rubbed brick arches that have raised keystones. The main front of the building has been obscured by later 19th-century additions.
Inside, one room features plaster panelling and a dentillated cornice. There are two six-panelled doors with balustraded friezes above them. The early 19th-century fireplace surround is made of cast iron and is decorated in a light Adam style. The 18th-century overmantle has an eared surround that is reeded and garlanded.
