Description
The Bramlings is an early 19th-century house constructed of red brick, featuring a low-pitched hipped slate roof with end and rear stacks. The building has a three-storey front range and two-storey rear wings. The entrance front showcases a three-window arrangement on the first floor with 6/6 sash windows, while the second floor has three 3/3 sashes. Flanking the central door-case, which is topped by a flat hood supported on brackets, are two 6/6 sash windows. The front façade is accented with pilaster strips at the corners and a brick cornice. On the left side, there is an open porch supported by Doric columns and an entablature, leading to a part-glazed door. Above the porch is a canted oriel bay window. The left rear wing features two French windows with three 6/6 sashes above, and additional sashes are present on the other wings. The interior is reported to have moulded plasterwork cornices and six-panel doors. This house, which has undergone some alterations, retains a fine front elevation.
