Description
The stables at Nettleham Fields Farmhouse are a former stable and granary building, now used for garaging. They date from the early 19th century and have been altered in the 20th century. The structure is made of red brick with ashlar dressings and features a hipped slate roof. It has an L-shaped plan and is two stories tall with a three-bay alternating front, which includes a dogtooth eaves course.
There are three door openings on the front; the two on the right are blocked, while the left has a planked door. On the first floor, there is one barred window, with two additional blocked windows to the right. All openings have semi-circular brick heads, and the first-floor openings feature ashlar impost and key blocks. The left side of the building has vertical breather slots at both ground and first floor levels. The lower wing at the rear was likely used for grooms' accommodation. The rear and sides have been modified in the 20th century to create garage space. This building is listed for its group value only.
