Description

The cross base at the Church of St. Edward the Confessor dates from the 14th century and is constructed of ashlar stone. It features a square base made up of three steps, with a small section of the lower part of the cross shaft still intact. The rest of the shaft, which was likely replaced in the 19th century, has collapsed and is now overgrown. This structure is listed for its group value only.
