Description
Manor House is a house from the mid-18th century, constructed of coursed limestone rubble, limestone ashlar, and some red brick. It features a pantile roof with tile coped gables, decorated brick eaves, gable stacks, and two gabled dormers with casement windows. The building has a T plan, is two storeys high with an attic, and has a five-bay front. The central doorway has a broad plain doorcase with a small hood supported by brackets, a segmental head, and a partially glazed door. There are two glazing bar sash windows on each side of the door, with five glazing bar sash windows above, all featuring splayed, voussoired ashlar lintels. Inside, there is a three-flight return oak staircase from the mid-18th century, which has turned balusters, plain treads, and a moulded handrail.
