Description

The monument to Thomas Straw, who died in 1858, is located 4 yards south-east of the apse of the Church of All Saints. It is constructed from limestone ashlar and features wrought iron elements. The monument is designed as a table tomb with a moulded base, supported by four clustered columns on each side, each with moulded bases and stiff leaf capitals. There are three cusped trefoil arches on each side, adorned with floral terminations at the inner cusps, and a moulded, inscribed slab above. Surrounding the tomb are ornate wrought iron railings, which include spiral decorations and finials.
