Description
Priory Farmhouse and outbuildings is a house dating from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of red brick with ashlar dressings and features a grey slate roof with gable stacks. The building is two storeys high with an attic and has a three-bay front. Notable architectural details include a first-floor ashlar band, quoins, and a cornice. The central doorway has a bracketed hood and a rectangular overlight with three panes, leading to a six-panelled wooden door. On either side of the doorway are single windows, with three additional windows set above, all featuring glazing bar sashes and stone splayed lintels with raised keystones. There are also two 20th-century dormers with casements. The rear of the property has various 19th and 20th-century extensions. The outbuilding contains 13th-century fragments of an arch and door jamb from the priory that was originally located on the site.
