Description

A house and cart shed, dating from around 1840. The house is constructed from roughly shaped limestone rubble with carefully cut ashlar quoins and dressings. It has a roof of Collyweston slate, with two gable-mounted chimneys; the right-hand chimney is notably tall, built of brick with an ashlar base. The house has two storeys and a three-bay front. The central doorway has been blocked, with single sash windows with glazing bars on either side on the ground floor. Matching sash windows are located on the first floor. All windows are set within segmental stone surrounds. To the rear is a four-bay open-sided cart shed. The buildings are included in the listing primarily for their contribution to the wider group value of the area.
