Description
This is a mid-18th century dovecote, originally belonging to Casewick Hall. It is constructed of ashlar and has a swept Collyweston slate hipped roof, with lead dressings and an octagonal glazed lantern topped with a flat lead roof. The dovecote is square in plan, single bay, and two stories high, with a plinth. It features a central doorway with a segmental stone head and a circular light above, framed by a plain stone architrave with a raised keyblock. The interior retains numerous brick nesting boxes with limestone ledges, and a roof with a nailed butt purlin.
