Description
There are seven headstones located 20 metres southeast of the chancel at the Church of All Saints. These headstones date from 1819 to 1840 and are made of slate. They are arranged in two groups, one with four stones and the other with three.
The first stone on the left has an arched top with shaped shoulders, features a two-panel inscription, and includes funereal symbols dedicated to John Dawn, who passed away in 1819. The second, smaller stone to the right has an urn and commemorates Sarah Dawn, who died in 1823. The third stone is flat-topped and has an incised book, honoring Thomas Dawn, who died in 1841. The fourth stone, larger and also flat-topped, features an urn and is dedicated to Elizabeth and Anna Dawn, who passed away in 1831.
To the right, there are three flat-topped stones with sarcophagi. The fifth stone commemorates Thomas Dawn, who died in 1838, the sixth is for Anne Vincent, née Dawn, who died in 1839, and the seventh stone is dedicated to Anne Dawn, who passed away in 1840.
