Description
The Old Vicarage is a house, formerly serving as a vicarage, dating from the late 18th century with 19th-century additions. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble featuring ashlar dressings and brick, which has been colour washed. The roof is slate with a brick gable and two ridge stacks. The building has parallel ranges, with the rear section being from the 19th century.
The front of the house is two storeys high and has five bays, with the left two bays added in brick during the 19th century. The central entrance features a 19th-century panelled door with an ashlar surround, flanked on the right by two glazed double doors with stone lintels, and on the left by two tall two-light casement windows. These elements are covered by a small verandah with a shaped lead roof. All first-floor windows are 19th-century glazing bar sashes set beneath the eaves.
