Description

This is a late 18th or early 19th century building, situated on the east side of Barn Hill, and originally built as part of a group with numbers 9 and 12 to 17, alongside the former Sunday School and All Saints' Place. It is constructed of ashlar and stands three storeys high, adjoining number 9. The roof is a modern Mansard style, covered in tiles, with a dormer window on each side. The quoins are rusticated, and a band runs along the window cills. The front elevation features a single window, while the side elevation has two, all set within rusticated architraves. A decorative Adam-style door frame is located on the side elevation, featuring a swag of wheat ears above the round-headed design and bell drops on the jambs. It has a "Gothic" glazed fanlight and a six-panel door. To the rear, there are two-storey additions dating from the 17th century. Garage premises adjoin numbers 9 and 10.
