Description

No. 42 Halfleet is a cottage dating from around 1700, with alterations made in the 19th century. It is constructed from squared limestone rubble, featuring ashlar quoins and dressings. The roof is made of Collyweston slate and has raised stone coped gables along with two ashlar gable stacks. The cottage is a single storey with attics and has a three-bay front. The central entrance is a planked door, flanked by plain sash windows, each with flat stone arches above. At the eaves level of the roof, there are three original gabled dormers, each containing two-light iron glazing bar casements with slate hung cheeks.
