Description

39 and 40 Church Trees are late 18th century cottages that stand two stories tall with attics. They are constructed of brick and topped with a pantile roof. Each cottage features three windows with glazing bars. The entrance to No. 39 includes a doorcase with brackets and a hood, while No. 40 has a modern door and windows. Both cottages have a plinth. These buildings are part of a group that includes Nos. 8A to 41 (consecutive) and Nos. 5, 42, and 43 Swinegate.
