Description
4 and 5 All Saints Place is a pair of buildings dating from the late 17th century or early 18th century. They are two storeys high with attics, constructed from coursed rubble with dressed stone quoins. The stone slate roof is mansard in style, hipped at the corners. Each building features one dormer with a casement window. The front has two windows on the upper floor, which are three-light casements with wood lintels. No 5 has glazing bars, while the ground floor includes one wood lintel that spans two windows: one is a double-hung sash with glazing bars and the other is a casement. There is a blocked central doorway for No 4. No 5 has one modern window and one three-light casement with glazing bars, and the original door has been replaced with two new windows.
These buildings, along with Nos 1 to 8, the garage premises to No 9A, 9A, 9, 10, the Sunday School, and Nos 12 to 17, Barn Hill, and Nos 1 and 2 Red Lion Square, form a group of significant historical structures.
