Description

Corner House Cottage is a house dating from the 17th century, with alterations made in the 19th century. It is constructed from coursed limestone and ironstone rubble, featuring ashlar quoins and dressings, brick gable stacks, and a pantiled roof. The building has a two-storey, three-bay front, with a central 19th-century six-panelled door that includes a traceried overlight. This door is flanked by single glazing bar sash windows, while the first floor has two smaller glazing bar sashes. All openings are topped with splayed lintels that have slightly emphasised keystones. Inside, there is a 14th-century canted truss, decorated with quatrefoils, which has been reused as a fireplace lintel.
