Description
This is a late 18th-century tower mill located on the north side of Stow Lane in Whaplode. The mill is constructed of tarred red brick and is currently missing its cap and roof, featuring dogtooth eaves. It stands four storeys tall. The west side has a segmental-headed doorway with double plank doors. Both the north and south sides have four window openings, arranged one above the other. On the south side, there are drive belt wheels positioned above and below the ground floor opening. The upper floors have collapsed along with the machinery, which is partially visible through the ground floor openings, including a pair of stones that are buried under rubble and wood. The mill originally contained a clasp arm great spur wheel.
