Description

Manor Farmhouse is an early 19th-century farmhouse constructed of white brick with ashlar dressings. It has a slate roof with ashlar coped gables and moulded kneelers. The building is two storeys high and originally comprised seven bays, arranged in an L-shape. It features two brick stacks on the right and two gable stacks. The central doorway has a six-panelled door within a wooden surround, and is sheltered by an ashlar porch supported on square Doric columns. To either side of the doorway are single glazing bar sashes. Further windows include canted ashlar bay windows with a central two-light glazed door with a mullion, and single-light full-height side windows. Above, there are seven glazing bar sashes. The interior retains contemporary features including a staircase with an iron balustrade, most original fireplaces, doors, and coving.
