Description
The Manor House, originally listed as Manor Farmhouse, is a house dating from around 1780 that now operates as a restaurant. It is constructed of red brick with brick and ashlar dressings, featuring a slate roof with ashlar coped gables and kneelers, as well as two brick gable stacks. The building has a T-plan and stands three storeys high. A brick band runs along the first floor. The façade consists of three bays, with a slightly projecting central bay and brick pilasters flanking the ends. The central doorway features a six-panel door with an overlight, surrounded by a wooden pilaster surround topped by a pediment. On either side of the doorway are single glazing bar sash windows with flat brick heads and ashlar keystones. Above, there are three similar sashes, and above those, three slightly smaller sashes, all with flat brick heads and ashlar keystones.
