Description

The White Hart Hotel is an early to mid-19th century building of three storeys, constructed primarily of gault brick with a stone eaves cornice. It has four windows. The windows are largely hung sashes, with one first-floor window above the segmental carriage entry having a stone lintel and glazing bars. Two segmental bay windows also feature hung sashes with glazing bars, as does a single window above the doorway, set within a stone moulded architrave. A band separates the storeys. The ground floor is painted and contains two 3-light hung sash windows with glazing bars, and a doorway with plain pilasters and a cornice, along with foot scrapers. A stone plinth sits at the base of the building. A moulded stone plaque, dated 1691, is positioned above the carriage arch. The building forms a group with Nos. 26 to 34 (even).
