Description

The Grange is a house built in 1814. It is constructed from local limestone rubble with ashlar stone dressings, and has a pantile roof with ashlar coped gables and brick stacks. The house has a rubble plinth and is two storeys high, with four bays. An off-centre doorway has a six-panel door and a simple fanlight, set within an ashlar surround of pilaster strips and a flat semicircular band. Flanking the doorway are single sash windows with glazing bars. To the right of the doorway is a large segmental carriage arch, incorporating a keystone inscribed "D. T. 1814", and a pair of plank gates. Above the carriage arch are four sash windows with glazing bars.
