Description
The bandstand in the Arboretum was built in 1884 and was presented by FJ Clarke. It is made of cast iron and features an ashlar plinth and a domed roof covered with zinc sheet, topped with a finial. The structure is octagonal in shape, and the plinth is inscribed with the names of the City wards and the Borough Surveyor. It is supported by twisted cast-iron columns that have filigree brackets.
