Description
The well house at the north end of St Anne's Bedehouses was built around 1847 by Augustus Welby Northmore Pugin for RW Sibthorp. It is constructed of red brick featuring blue brick diaper work, stone dressings, and a patterned tile roof. The building has a chamfered plinth and coved eaves adorned with fleurons. It has an octagonal plan with three broached corners and a cross finial. The south-west doorway is chamfered and includes decorated spandrels. There are three ogee-headed double lights set in flat-headed openings, all of which have filleted roll moulded surrounds.
