Description
Stairs House is a house that has been converted into a social club. It dates from the late 18th century and was remodeled in the late 19th century. The building is finished in stucco and features a slate roof with two ridge stacks. It has a plinth, quoins, modillion cornices, and pedimented gables.
The house is two storeys high and has five bays. The windows are glazing bar sashes. The recessed centre section, which consists of three bays, has a first-floor band. On the left side, there is a moulded round-headed doorcase with a dentilled half-round canopy supported by brackets, leading to a six-panel door. To the right of the door, there are two sashes, and above them, three more sashes. Each wing of the house has a sash window on each floor, with the upper ones featuring panels above them and keystones.
The left gable end includes a canted wooden oriel window with a flat roof, and above it, there is a sash window with a keystone. To the left of this, there is a door with a sash window above it. The interior has not been inspected.
